Our gift vouchers are handwritten on beautiful foiled card, valid for one year and sent out the same day as we receive your order. We strongly recommend delivery by courier rather than post as we cannot guarantee a timeframe for New Zealand post delivery. Alternatively gift vouchers may be picked up from the restaurant. Orders received on Sundays or Mondays will be processed on Tuesday mornings.

The adrenalin rush of a busy night’s service — when service is slightly hectic but still runs smoothly, the food just flows, and customers leave satisfied — it’s a buzz that only someone who loves working in hospitality can appreciate. It feels like a great sense of achievement
We love the work that we do and we’re proud that we’ve built a place where passionate people can thrive. To work at The Engine Room is to be part of an extended family – A delicious staff meal pre service, a massive team effort, fun and laughter throughout service followed by a staff drink and debrief establishes relationships that can last a lifetime. We love the challenge of continually improving and creating the best hospitality experience we can.
The restaurant business is not for everyone, but we genuinely love our jobs wouldn’t rather be doing anything else. We’re always on the lookout for others who feel the same way to join our award-winning team.
We seek out those who are passionate, special and interesting. Those who have a spark, a can-do attitude, are open to learning and bringing their skills and knowledge to the party. One thing we all have in common is our warmth and genuine love of people, our drive to give our customers the best possible experience we can, which shines through in the way we communicate with our guests and one another. This means that you don’t just join our team – you are welcomed in, embraced as a member of our family. We look out for the most promising people, the ones that perhaps, one day want to own their own restaurant. And when we find them, we take pride watching them and helping them grow as people and as hospitaliy professionals.
